Markram Battles Vol I: Genesis of an Uprising
Seven is a murderer, and everyone loves him for it. Trained since childhood to compete as a blood-sport entertainer, Seven’s rules are simple: Fight. Win. Or die trying. The official battles are fast approaching and Seven is ready to assemble his unit of warriors. But they must first be captured and recruited from another planet—Earth.
As the most recent annexation of the Markram Empire, Earth is now a sector where Unit Leaders come to conscript rebel survivors into gladiatorial divisions. Under the direction of his Commander, Seven begins to gather his unit, refusing to compromise his unbending ideals in pursuit of his freedom.
But when Thirteen, his newest female recruit, defies all his commands, she threatens to destroy everything he has worked so hard to achieve. Thirteen won’t give in. Not to him. Not to the system. Not to anyone. Except in order to live, she must yield to his will, and embrace the superior race now ruling the universe.
These are the stories of the beginning. The stories of them who fight, without any possibility of escape.
Markram Battles Vol II: Omens of Doom
Thirteen has chosen to fight for her freedom as a blood-sport entertainer. But her path to survival is just beginning. Earth is no longer Earth. The Markram Empire has transformed its once human cities into breeding grounds of violence and deceit, and fighting in the Battles isn’t the only way she could die.
Seven knows this, and his unmistakable connection with Thirteen begins to spawn their biggest challenge yet. Seven cannot control her, nor does he want to. But their bond has become a weakness that many would kill to exploit, and if discovered, this flaw could become their ultimate undoing.
